For the first time, using FamilyCam’s unique tag and search technology customers can go straight to the bits of their movies which they want to see, and miss out the boring bits. The FamilyCam web site also enables clips created with new digital camcorders to be stitched together into a single movie and uploaded with just a few simple mouse clicks. For older footage, FamilyCam convert video tape and cine reel movies into digital form, allowing friends and family members to watch video unseen for decades. The FamilyCam web site provides powerful and simple to use guest sharing, allowing customers to give their invited guests access to some or all of their home video content. For all movies, a grid of still images is provided so that customers can instantly see all the scenes from a movie, making browsing for a scene quick and easy. Dr Michael Woodley, CEO of FamilyCam said “FamilyCam is very different from YouTube. We support high quality, long format video, and our service is secure and private.
